One word reply: AVOID!

I did the same to my Swift interiors, here is a sample picture:

I admit that it is the biggest mistake that it was done in my car and I am suffering as I am now facing issues with the floor lamination vis-a-vis the Star 3D mats which keeps moving here and there. On braking it goes in the front, on acceleration it moves back and with leg movement it goes sideways.

The car remains clean with all dirt/stones etc being held by the lamination but the MAIN grouse is the 3D mats that I have installed keep moving in all directions which is a pain!

I didn't want this actually but dad got it done one fine afternoon when I was out of the city. He got it done on his Ertiga and removed the floor mats!

Please think over it about the installation in your car.

Who does not want to own a car? I am positive enough that all of us dream to own a car. At the present time, one can observe that a lot of individuals fancy cars. They save money to buy their dream car. After buying, they again spend money for the maintenance of the car which includes the expenses when they want to personalize their car. One of the parts of the car that owners want to personalize is the car mats. These mats do not only serve as pieces of rubber that people step on when they ride in the car but these mats are used to protect the interior of the car and may add color and design to the car’s interiors as well.

One of the most common materials that car mats are made of is rubber. Indeed, rubber is a very popular choice when it comes to flooring for commercial and high traffic environments. If you are planning to incorporate car rubber mats in the interior of your car, you have to take a look at the advantages and disadvantages when using rubber car mats.

Advantages of Rubber Mats

  • Durability: When you mat is made of rubber, expect that it can withstand all forms of weathers. Rubber is a material known for its toughness and flexibility. The life span of this mat depends on how you take good care of it but usually it lasts for 10 years, if not longer.
  • Low Maintenance: When using rubber mat, you can easily maintain its quality and cleanliness. You can easily wash and polish the rubber mats by just using a mop, detergent and warm clean water.
  • Water Resistant: When you have passengers who drink water and other liquids while you are driving, you no longer need to worry when they accidentally spill the liquid on the mat. Rubber mats do not easily get damaged from basic liquid spills.

  • Textures: Rubber mats welcome various designs. If you use rubber mats in your car, it can be manufactured with studs and other complex textures that can serve as designs of your mats. With that, it can look very attractive.

Disadvantages Of Rubber Mats

  • Expensive: Compared to other materials used in car mats, rubber mats cost higher. It is due to the quality of the rubber, its durability and the advantages that it could offer once you decide to use it. It is also very important to note that there are also cheap but high-quality car mats that can be bought in different Car Shops Offering Rubber Car Mats.
  • Seepage Issues: Although rubber mats are water resistant, it is still susceptible to seepage issues.
  • Staining: It is true that rubber mats can resist to many staining agents. However, there are few that may cause discoloration to the mats. Detergent, grease and other abrasive cleaning liquids can cause negative effect to rubber mats.

When buying stuff like rubber mats for your car, it is very important to know its advantages and disadvantages. Doing such, you can come up with the best decision whether to buy the product or not. Generally, it’s good to use rubber mats for your car.
