At the end,it took us 2 months to develop our own grinding wheel formula and achieved satisfactory results on the process.
In 2014, we successfuly helped South Korean SUNYOUNG refurblished the wooden floor mold plate,at that time,SUNYOUNG contacted several top metal surface finishing machine manufacturers in the world (such as Italian EMEAS, Dutch Timesavers etc.), hoping to develop an thermosetting injetion molding machine to refurbish SUNYOUNG's wooden floor mold plate. SUNYOUNG is a manufacturer of high-end wooden floors. The cost of the mold plates they use is also 20% higher than that of ordinary mold plates. Therefore, SUNYOUNG hopes to use the leading 8K polishing technology to complete the re-polishing of the mold plates (which were dumped as scrapes in the past), thus, can be re-used again.
Due to the particularity of the mold plate, such as the material is chemically different from the ordinary stainless steel 304, 201 etc. at the molecular level and the surface of the material is comparatively hard. But, several manufacturers were rejected at that time, who contacted SUNYOUNG for a cooperation.
Later, SUNYOUNG saw our LEBON 8K machine in Germany and paid a visit to our manufacturing unit in China. After inspecting our factory and knowing our strength and quality, they expressed their sincerity to cooperate with us to develop a machine for mold plate polishing.
We LEBON decided to accept the challenge. Our engineers first conducted a laboratory analysis on SUNYOUNG's mold plate and confirmed that the rough grinding process requires a special grinding wheel to replace the grinding of the scouring pad. The surface of the board was thoroughly ground. At the end, it took us 2 months to develop our own grinding wheel formula and achieved satisfactory results on the rough grinding process.
In the 8K polishing technology, the completion of good rough grinding means 80% of the success and the next step is to complete the fine grinding part. When we polished the first sample 8K board, supplied by SUNYOUNG, we LEBON got a simple but honest comment from South Korean SUNYOUG: "Thank you! you have the best 8K machine manufacturing technology; it's really amazing!" At the end, LEBON delivered the world's first 8K machine that can polish mold plates with an excellent glossiness of 550 and roughness of 0.04 microns. It means that LEBON Machinery has made a pioneering achievement in metal surface polishing. In the industry of stainless-steel molds for wooden floors, we can regrind the used stainless steel materials such as X42, Cr 13, and 420 to achieve 8K effect, which greatly saves the cost of customers and improves production capacity (ultimately means to save 100% of raw material costs for customers); customers commented “ê°ì¬í©ëë¤! ë¹ì ì ìµê³ ì 8k ê¸°ê³ ì ì¡° ê¸°ì ì ê°ì§ê³ ììµëë¤; ì ë§ ëëìµëë¤,This is an amazing technology”. But in fact, this is the business philosophy we have been pursuing at LEBON: From the perspective of customers, we produce a high-end equipment, which is suitable for the market and leads the market.
Knowledge gap fulfilled: Until 2014, the stainless-steel mold plate for floor was no longer suitable for the production 8K mirror plate because the surface has been punched badly for several times. But the manufacturers want to refurbish the mold plate for its high cost. To fulfil this knowledge gap, LEBON succeeded in pioneering this technology in 2014. Together with our customers, we LEBON has developed special 8K polishing consumables, including grinding wheels and so on.
