1. Material

HDPE pipe: high-density polyethylene, one of the modified products of polyethylene. It has the characteristics of high density, high hardness, high strength, high wear resistance and high chemical corrosion resistance. It is easy to decompose in the natural environment and has little impact on the environment.

PVC pipe: Polyvinyl chloride is a traditional thermoplastic with good processability, plasticity and chemical corrosion resistance, but poor aging resistance, easy to yellow and become brittle, not suitable for long-term exposure to the external environment .

Second, the advantages and disadvantages

1. HDPE pipe

Advantage:

(1) High strength, high wear resistance, high corrosion resistance.

(2) Small density and light weight, which is 1/8 of PVC pipe, easy to carry and install.

(3) With high impact resistance and elongation at break, it is suitable for industrial and civil water supply and gas pipeline systems.

Shortcoming:

(1) Due to the hard material, it is susceptible to cuts and scratches.

(2) It is easy to age and become brittle for exposure to ultraviolet corrosion and extreme weather conditions.

2. PVC pipe

Advantage:

(1) It has good acid resistance, alkali resistance and chemical corrosion resistance.

(2) Good processing performance, low plasticizing temperature, convenient and fast processing and molding.

(3) Light weight and high impact resistance can reduce the pressure on the building structure.

(4) It has sound-absorbing, moisturizing and waterproof effects.

Shortcoming:

(1) It is easily affected by ultraviolet rays, oxidation and creep, and is not suitable for long-term outdoor use and high-temperature applications.

(2) It is prone to corrosion, aging, discoloration and odor.

(3) Connection, maintenance and replacement are difficult.

 

3. Application scenarios

1. HDPE pipe

(1) Water supply and drainage: suitable for urban water supply systems, building water supply systems, rural drinking water systems, sewage treatment systems, etc.

(2) Gas transmission: suitable for chemical, pharmaceutical, electronics, energy and other fields

(3) Pipeline engineering: suitable for power communication, municipal engineering, etc.

2. PVC pipe

(1) Municipal water supply: applicable to urban areas;

(2) Building water supply and drainage, sanitation: suitable for residences, hospitals and other places;
